The cause

Your support directly supports the life-saving work of Strong Hearts Cat Rescue (SHCR). Every week, our dedicated team of volunteers works tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome countless cats and kittens from pounds across Australia, many of whom are at risk of being euthanised simply because they take up space. The ongoing cat crisis in Victoria and New South Wales has led to an overwhelming number of vulnerable, innocent lives being lost — hundreds of cats and kittens are killed every week

Rescue organisations are doing everything they can to save as many as possible, but sadly, there are not enough homes for every cat in need. We urgently need to raise awareness and take action. Education about the effects of breeding, ensuring pets are desexed, promoting indoor only cats, and never abandoning your pets are essential steps in reducing the strain on shelters and pounds. But the reality is stark: cats and kittens are breeding faster than we can save them, and with each passing week, more fill pounds, only to face the heartbreaking fate of euthanasia.

It's time for all of us to take accountability. Together, we can provide a better future for these cats — one where their lives aren't cut short in a cold, metal cage. Your support directly impacts the rescue and rehabilitation of countless kill-listed cats and kittens, giving them the veterinary care they need to break the cycle and find their forever homes.

By entrusting your pet to us, you're helping those who have no home to find the loving family they deserve. You're making their fairy tale ending possible — just like the one your own sweet kitty is living

Let's stop the cycle: desex your pets, adopt, don't shop, donate, or consider fostering to save a life today. Together, we can make a difference.
